On Monday morning in Bhind, the SDM’s car was hit by a tractor belonging to the sand mafia on the Mihona bypass. SDM Vijay Singh Yadav had come to stop illegal sand transport. Luckily, no one was hurt, but the SDM’s car was damaged. Police seized two overloaded sand-laden trolleys at the spot. According to officials, the SDM had received information about illegal sand transport and reached the bypass around 10:30 AM. When he tried to stop the tractors, one driver deliberately rammed into the SDM’s vehicle to escape action. Police parked tractors at the police station After the incident, the SDM immediately called the Mihona police station in-charge and summoned force. The team of police and revenue department cordoned off and caught both tractor-trolleys and parked them at the police station. Police have registered a case against the drivers under various sections including illegal sand transportation, overloading, and damaging government property. SDM said – Strict action will continue SDM Vijay Singh Yadav said – Vehicles involved in illegal sand transportation pose a major threat to public safety due to their high speed and overloading.
