Chhatarpur police have suspended Head Constable Mukesh Rajput after he abused the station in-charge over the phone and caused a ruckus while drunk. The incident came to light after videos of him went viral. Rajput, who is posted at the Police Line and assigned to Badamalhara Court, was seen in one video swearing at the station in-charge, and in another video, swaying under the influence and starting a bike. The incident reportedly happened on December 8 and 9, when Chief Minister Mohan Yadav visited Khajuraho for a cabinet meeting. Bijawar Station In-charge Kamaljeet Singh was on duty at that time, and Rajput created the disturbance while intoxicated. The incident took place at the liquor shop. It has been reported that this incident occurred when Mukesh Rajput went to a liquor shop to buy alcohol. The shopkeeper refused to sell him alcohol and threatened to complain to the station in-charge. At this, the head constable got enraged and started abusing the station in-charge over the phone. The liquor shop employees made a video of the incident and made it viral on social media. It can be clearly seen in the video that people are trying to stop him, but he left the spot on his bike. Suspended After Medical Test After the video surfaced on social media and the complaint reached the SP, the police conducted a medical examination (MLC) of Head Constable Mukesh Rajput. Following this, Chhatarpur SP Agam Jain suspended him late Saturday night.
