A young man died by suicide in Ratlam after uploading an Instagram video accusing his girlfriend of cheating and extorting 4–5 lakh rupees by promising marriage. Based on the video, police booked the woman for abetment to suicide and took her into custody. The incident occurred in Uparwada village of Piploda tehsil. The deceased was identified as Rahul (32), son of Kishore Patidar. On Monday morning, villagers saw his video on Instagram and went to his tea shop, where the door was locked from inside. Looking through the net, they found Rahul hanging. In the video, the young man, taking the woman’s name, said, You played the marriage game with me. You had said that I would marry you. I had told you that only if you marry, talk to me. Take out and see every chat of your Instagram, what you had said. Rahul’s last video allegations In the video, Rahul said he had dropped the woman at Neemuch after she claimed she was attending a wedding. He accused her of ruining their relationship despite promising marriage, extorting 4–5 lakh rupees, and deceiving him even after he informed his family. He said this betrayal drove him to suicide and added that “God will not forgive” her. Both already married Woman in custody, documents not found Jaora SDOP Sandeep Malviya said that based on the video, a case has been registered against the woman for abetment to suicide. The woman has been rounded up (taken into custody) and is being interrogated. The matter of their divorce has come to light, but documents have not been received yet.
