Whenever there is oppression, there will be Jihad- Maulana Madani:Says in Bhopal, ‘Dead nations surrender’, raises questions on role of courts

In Bhopal, at the governing body meeting of Jamiat Ulema-e-Hind, Maulana Mahmood Madani said that in the current era, attempts to spread hatred against Islam and Muslims have increased. He said that sacred words like ‘Jihad’ are being deliberately linked to terrorism and violence. Maulana Madani said”Terms like Love Jihad, Land Jihad, Spit Jihad have been coined to defame Muslims. In Islam, Jihad means struggle against injustice and oppression. Whenever there is oppression, there will be Jihad.” He alleged that Muslims are being continuously targeted and their religious attire, identity and lifestyle are being questioned. He said that Muslims are equal citizens of this country, but rights to education, employment and social equality are weakening at the ground level. ‘Supreme Court is truly supreme only when it follows the Constitution’
Maulana Madani also raised questions on the judiciary. He said that courts should remain impartial, but some decisions have created doubt. He said that the Supreme Court will be called supreme only when it fully adheres to the Constitution. He claimed that a large population of the country is still silent. If this section goes towards those who spread hatred, it could create danger for the country. ‘Muslims are being made to feel insecure’
Madani alleged that an atmosphere of bulldozer action, mob lynching, economic boycott and hate campaigns is being created against Muslims. He said that through conversion laws, Muslim dawat and education have been criminalized, while some organizations have complete freedom. He also opposed government interference regarding Waqf properties and said that Waqf is a trust of Muslims, interference in it will not be tolerated. Mention of Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib
Maulana Madani, remembering the martyrdom of Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib, said that this is not just Sikh history, but a trust of the entire Indian heritage. He said that Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib’s sacrifice is a symbol of protecting humanity, religion and freedom. His sacrifice teaches us to stand against hatred.” ‘Muslims are being defamed’
Maulana Madani said that in today’s politics, there are attempts to defame Muslims in the name of Mughals. He clarified that linking any ruler’s atrocities to Islam is completely wrong. Islam’s message is justice and humanity. ‘Dead nations kneel down’
In his address, he said”Dead nations surrender before circumstances, but living nations do not compromise on their rights and identity.” He appealed to the youth to leave despair behind and remain aware of their constitutional rights. Minister Vishwas says, ‘This is an insult to the constitutional system’
Cooperation, Sports and Youth Welfare Minister Vishwas Sarang has hit back at Maulana Madani’s statement regarding Vande Mataram. He said that if someone questions Vande Mataram while living in the air and water of Hindustan, it is an insult to the constitutional system.
