In Chandwar village of Sagar district, two brothers were stabbed to death in front of their mother during a family dispute. The incident took place on Friday night in the Sanaudha police station area. According to police, Shanti Bai Bansal had gone to her relative and brother-in-law Suresh Dhanak’s house to get medicine for goats. There, an argument began over an ongoing land dispute. As the dispute escalated, Shanti Bai’s sons—16-year-old Akash Bansal and 18-year-old Deepesh Bansal—reached the spot to intervene. Multiple knife wounds, both succumb in hospital When the brothers stepped in to protect their mother, Suresh Dhanak and his son Sachin allegedly attacked them with knives. Both sustained multiple stab injuries to the stomach, back and face. They were taken to a local health centre in critical condition and later referred to the district hospital. Despite treatment, both Akash and Deepesh died on Saturday. Police arrived after receiving information, prepared the panchnama, and sent the bodies for post-mortem before handing them over to the family. Mother demands strict action Shanti Bai said her sons were trying to rescue her when the attack took place. She alleged that her brother-in-law Suresh and his son Sachin carried out the assault that led to the deaths. She has demanded strict punishment for both accused. Murder case registered Sanaudha police have registered a murder case against accused Suresh Dhanak and Sachin. SI Balram Chhari said the family had a long-standing land dispute, which again triggered the confrontation on Friday. He said the investigation is underway and further legal action will follow.
