A major robbery took place in broad daylight outside a bank in Mhow. Two men on a bike snatched a bag containing Rs 10 lakh from liquor company employees and fled. The money had just been withdrawn to pay a fine. Police are investigating the incident. Robbery outside bank The incident happened on Friday afternoon outside the Bank of Baroda at Dreamland Square, Mhow. Three employees of a liquor company — Harshit, Gaurav, and Raunak — had visited the bank to withdraw money. They withdrew Rs 10 lakh and kept it in a bag. See, 2 pictures – Snatching by 2 men As soon as the employees came out of the bank, two men on a motorcycle, who were waiting nearby, suddenly snatched the bag. The robbers then fled from the scene. Immediate action The liquor company employees immediately informed their contractor Badri Fauji about the robbery. He, in turn, contacted the police. Police reached the spot and began an investigation. They are examining CCTV footage and questioning witnesses to track the culprits. Purpose of the money Aman Thakur, son of the contractor Badri Fauji, said the money was withdrawn to pay a fine. The bag containing the Rs 10 lakh was in Harshit’s hand when it was snatched.
