Constable accused of bribery flees after shoving Lokayukta officials:Accused flees with ₹12,000 bribe; station in-charge also booked for corruption

A corrupt constable escaped by pushing the Lokayukta team in Tikamgarh. Constable Pankaj Yadav was accused of taking bribes. The Lokayukta team tried to catch him red-handed, but he escaped by pushing the team. Constable Pankaj Yadav left his jacket and car (MP 04 CZ 7719) at the scene but took the bribe amount of 12 thousand rupees with him. The Lokayukta team seized the constable’s car and took it to the rural police station. The incident happened late Thursday night near the Collectorate, where six members of the Sagar Lokayukta team had set a trap to catch Constable Pankaj Yadav taking bribes red-handed. Constable demanded 20 thousand in the name of getting bail
Sagar Lokayukta TI Kamal Singh Uike said that on November 21, a case was registered against applicant Ankit Tiwari under the SC-ST Act at Kotwali police station. Constable Pankaj Yadav had demanded Rs 20,000 in exchange for getting bail and protecting him in this case. Constable already taken 8 thousand rupees Applicant Ankit Tiwari had already given 8 thousand rupees to the constable. The remaining 12 thousand rupees were to be given near the Collectorate on Thursday night, that’s when the Lokayukta team tried to catch him. A video of Constable Pankaj Yadav fleeing has also emerged. The Lokayukta team is engaged in searching for him. TI Uike also said that a case has been registered against Kotwali TI Brijendra Chachondia under the Prevention of Corruption Act in this matter. Pankaj’s father, Govind Yadav, died in a road accident while going from Baldevgarh to Jatara.
