Pharmacy Council chief assaults youth in Bhopal; video emerges:Victim alleges being locked in a room; eyewitnesses claim police watched without intervening

A youth was allegedly assaulted inside the Pharmacy Council office premises in Bhopal. The video of the incident surfaced on Friday, leading to serious allegations against Pharmacy Council President Sanjay Jain and several other officials. Victim releases video, alleges assault by officials The victim, identified as Tushar Sunar, released a video in which he appears in tears, stating, My name is Tushar Sunar. Pharmacy Council President Sanjay Jain, KK Yadav, Gopal Yadav and other officials beat me badly. They dragged me inside and hit me on my private parts, causing bleeding. I appeal to the Chief Minister to take action. Tushar further alleged that a policeman present during the incident ‘stood watching’ and did not intervene. Visuals of the incident.. Claimed assault over digital signature issue According to Tushar, he had been visiting the council office for nearly a month to get digital signatures on his certificates. He said he was repeatedly turned away. When he went to complain to the Registrar, she left for lunch and did not return for hours. On Friday, he again visited the office. As he moved toward an officer’s cabin, the guard allegedly stopped him. Tushar claimed the guard grabbed his collar and pushed him. When he freed himself, the guard slipped and hit the channel gate. Following this, several staff members came out and allegedly started beating him. Dispute over video recording Tushar said he had recorded a video detailing his and other students’ experiences due to frustration from repeated visits. When officials learned about this recording, they allegedly became angry, escalating the confrontation. Eyewitnesses support victim’s claims Eyewitnesses at the scene confirmed that the guard first grabbed the youth’s collar, after which the staff began the assault. They stated that a policeman remained on the spot but did not attempt to save Tushar. A female eyewitness alleged that officials were threatening students, saying that anyone who recorded videos would face difficulties in registration or renewal. Family demands FIR against officials Tushar and his family have demanded that an FIR be registered against President Sanjay Jain, along with KK Yadav, Gopal Yadav and other involved officials. They have appealed to the Chief Minister for strict action. Attempts to contact Council President Sanjay Jain remained unsuccessful. He answered a call once but disconnected immediately upon hearing the question. Messages sent afterward received no reply. NSUI and ABVP hold protests The incident triggered protests at the Pharmacy Council office. ABVP members demonstrated, stating they would continue their protest until Sanjay Jain resigns.Earlier, members of NSUI also protested in the office premises and blackened the nameplate of the council president.
