Sarpanch’s car plunges into nearby pond in Ujjain:NDRF team rushes to rescue; mud slows efforts as locals gather at site

A major accident took place on Monday evening in Kachnaria village, three kilometres from Narwar in Ujjain. The village sarpanch, Rituraj Singh Jhala (35), was driving his Scorpio when the vehicle lost control and fell into a pond near his house. Rescue operations are ongoing. Accident details The incident occurred between 5 and 6 PM. The Scorpio went off the road and plunged into a pond about 20 feet deep. Mud and water are making the rescue operation difficult. Immediate response Local people rushed to the spot after hearing about the accident. Narwar police and the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) team arrived quickly. Rescue efforts The NDRF team is trying to pull the Scorpio out of the pond. Due to the depth and mud, the operation is challenging. Authorities are working to recover the vehicle and ensure the safety of the driver. Current situation The rescue is still in progress. The condition of Rituraj Singh Jhala has not yet been confirmed.
