A private helicopter flying from Banaras to Jabalpur suddenly developed a technical problem mid-air. When a red warning light appeared on the display, the pilot quickly decided to make an emergency landing. He brought the helicopter down safely in the school ground of Salaiya village in Katni district. Soon after the landing, villagers started gathering at the spot to take photos and selfies. During the flight, the pilot started seeing red signals on the display and felt a slight vibration in the helicopter. Understanding the situation, pilot Simran Singh immediately contacted the company headquarters in Bangalore and the control room. After receiving permission for an emergency landing, the pilot landed the helicopter in the ground of the Higher Secondary School located in Salaiya-Sihora, Katni district, considering it a safe spot. As soon as the helicopter landed, a large number of villagers reached the spot. Upon receiving information, Barhi and Bargi police also arrived at the scene and created a security cordon around the helicopter. The helicopter is currently under police surveillance. A team of engineers arrived from Delhi This helicopter is said to belong to Sanjay Ghodawat Group, a flying company from Bangalore, which operates aviation services in Jabalpur and Gondia. Usually, this helicopter is used by public representatives and VIP passengers. On Sunday, a team of engineers from Delhi reached Salaiya and has started the work of fixing the helicopter’s malfunction. It is not yet clear what caused the technical malfunction.
