Three members of the same family died in a collision between an auto and a bike on Sunday evening near Pitkuhi village, close to the Pariyat river, under the Baghraji police outpost area in Jabalpur. Police teams from Kundam station and Baghraji outpost reached the spot after receiving information and took the injured to the Kundam Health Centre, where the doctors declared all three bike riders dead. Family was travelling to a religious event According to police, Chhote Lal Singh (60), a resident of Jamunia village, was travelling with his son-in-law Santar Singh Maravi (33) and grandson Rahul Singh (22) to Dungaria village to attend a Gangajali program. They were riding a bike (MP 20 ZS 1936) when an auto carrying plywood approached from the opposite direction and collided head-on with them. The impact was strong enough to overturn the auto. Auto driver injured; case registered The auto was heading from Jabalpur towards Baghraji. All three bike riders sustained severe head and body injuries and died on the spot. The auto driver was also injured and has been admitted to Jabalpur Medical College for treatment. Post-mortem and further action Kundam police station in-charge Satish Andhwan said a case has been registered against the auto driver for negligence. The post-mortem of the deceased will be conducted at the Kundam Health Centre on Monday, after which the bodies will be handed over to the family.
