The three accused would daily catch a train from Mhow to Indore, commit thefts in hostels, and then return to Mhow. Police have recovered mobiles, laptops, and tablets worth approximately 25 lakh rupees from their possession. All of them had been hiding in a rented house for a week. They were going to collect the goods and sell them in Tamil Nadu The mobile investigation revealed the entire conspiracy that the accused were using this technique to survey hostels and, as soon as they got an opportunity, easily entered and stole mobile phones and laptops. During interrogation, they admitted that their plan was to collect the stolen goods in Indore and take them to Tamil Nadu for sale. They used to return to Mhow by evening
Investigation revealed that the accused would take a train from Mhow to Indore every morning. During the day, they would target different hostels and return to Mhow by evening. In this way, they continued to commit thefts for several days without anyone in the city suspecting anything. So far, 2 FIRs have been registered against the three accused at Bhanwarkuan police station, 1 at Vijay Nagar police station, and 1 at Banganga police station. All cases involve complaints of theft of mobile phones, laptops, and tablets. 18 Mobile Phones, 10 Laptops, and 1 Tablet Recovered Police have recovered a total of approximately 25 lakh rupees worth of goods from the accused, including 18 mobile phones, 10 laptops, and 1 tablet. Police say that the gang might have committed more crimes in the city. The investigation is ongoing.
