45th National Junior rowing championship will begin 26 November:Water sports will take place at ‘Bada Talab’ as the 8th Inter-State Challengers will be organised simultaneously

Water sports events are starting at Bhopal’s Bada Talab (Upper Lake) from 26 November and will continue for five days. Two big national rowing competitions the 8th Inter State Challengers and the 45th Junior National Rowing Championship will take place at the same time. The Sports Department is organising the events with support from the Rowing Federation of India. Around 500 young players from 23 states will take part in both championships. Rowers in the Junior and Inter-State categories will show their strength, speed, skill, and discipline using modern rowing boats. Holding the competitions in the natural and calm waters of the Upper Lake is expected to promote rowing sport even more. Upper lake becomes a major sports venue
Upper Lake has previously successfully hosted national and international water sports events. For this reason, it is considered an ideal venue for rowing sports. This time too, all preparations, including boat houses, warm-up zones, security arrangements, medical teams, and technical facilities, are being completed.
