Another incident of misbehavior with devotees has surfaced at Ujjain’s famous Kaal Bhairav Temple, where security personnel and temple management staff allegedly pushed female devotees and forcibly removed an elderly woman from the premises during darshan. The incident occurred around 5 PM on Friday and a video of the episode has also emerged, showing staff grabbing women’s hands, pushing them and driving them out of the temple. Two elderly women were seen trying to support each other, but security personnel pushed them out as well, leading to chaos at the spot. Dispute with a group of devotees from Maharashtra According to Bhairavgarh Police Station in-charge R.S. Shaktawat, the confrontation took place near the main gate of the temple. A group of around 40 devotees from Maharashtra had arrived at the Kaal Bhairav Temple after offering prayers at the Mahakal Temple. Due to heavy rush, temple staff were instructing devotees to complete darshan quickly and move ahead. Women from the group protested, leading to a verbal argument that soon escalated into a scuffle. After the confrontation, both parties went to Bhairavgarh police station but neither side filed a complaint. Previous year saw a similar assault case This is not the first time an incident of this nature has occurred at the Kaal Bhairav Temple. In 2024, a similar case emerged when four temple guards assaulted a devotee with belts and sticks following a dispute inside the premises. The guards reportedly dragged the devotee outside before attacking him with pipes and belts. Dainik Bhaskar attempted to contact temple administrator L.N. Garg for a response regarding the latest incident, but communication could not be established.
