A woman died in a tragic road accident on the Badwah–Indore highway in Khargone district on Friday afternoon. The incident took place near Padhali, close to an under-construction bridge, when a container truck hit an elderly couple travelling on a bike. Jaywanti Bai, 55, who was riding pillion, died on the spot, while her husband, 60-year-old Ghasiram Malviya, escaped unhurt. Body parts scattered; heart found 20 ft away The impact caused the bike to lose balance and fall. Jayavanti Bai came under the rear wheel of the container. The collision was so severe that her body parts were scattered on the road, and her heart was found about 20 feet away from the body. Police later collected the remains and sent them to Badwah Civil Hospital for post-mortem. Visuals related to the incident.. Driver tried to flee, caught by car passenger After the accident, the container driver attempted to flee. Responding to Ghasiram’s plea for help, a car passenger stopped the container from the front and brought the driver to the Badwah police station. Barwada ASI S.N. Mandloi said that Ghasiram, a resident of Sumarkheda in Dewas district, was taking his wife to Koida Bhagawa. Family informed Ghasiram told police he was taking his wife to her maternal home. After being informed, the couple’s sons left for Badwah. The investigation into the accident is underway.
