Bhopal administration has created a dedicated portal to help voters trace old voter data as part of the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of the electoral roll. The portal hosts updated voter lists of all assembly constituencies, including complete records from 2003. Portal launched to simplify SIR process During the ongoing Special Intensive Revision, finding old voter records—especially from 2003—was proving difficult. To resolve this, the administration has launched sirbhopal.com, where voters can: Collector Kaushlendra Vikram Singh said the portal aims to make the SIR process “simple and accessible” for voters. Major challenge: Distributed forms not being returned The SIR survey began on 4 November, but progress in Bhopal remains poor. In the seven assembly constituencies, there are 21,25,908 voters. Of the 20.81 lakh forms distributed so far, only 1.57 lakh have been returned—less than 7.37%. Action taken for delay in work Due to delays and inefficiencies, disciplinary actions have also begun. The Collector has suspended about half a dozen supervisors and BLOs, while several others have been issued notices.
