A group of more than 20 masked men attacked Magic Spot Cafe in Misrod, Bhopal, on Tuesday night, vandalising the premises with swords and sticks. The entire attack lasted less than two minutes and the CCTV footage went viral on social media throughout the night. Police rule out robbery, probe enmity angle Speaking to Dainik Bhaskar, DCP Zone-2 Vivek Singh said the attackers entered the café directly, caused extensive damage and fled without stealing anything. DCP Vivek Singh said, Our initial assessment suggests enmity. There was no robbery, nothing was snatched — only vandalism was carried out. The cafe owner, Saksham Giri, has not provided any clear information about a possible dispute but has named 2–3 suspects in the FIR. Two suspects rounded up Police have detained two individuals named in the FIR. They are currently being questioned to determine whether the attack was triggered by personal rivalry or an old dispute. Face-covered attackers create identification challenge The attackers had their faces covered, making identification difficult. However, police claim to have found certain leads and are working on them. FIR against 5 named and unknown accused Café operator Saksham Giri has filed an FIR naming Yogi, Nikhil, Abhishek and two others, along with several unidentified attackers. He has not provided concrete reasons for suspecting them, which has made tracing the primary motive challenging.
