A couple from Sagar, committed suicide in Rewari, Haryana. Both were found hanging from the same rope inside a house. The couple had tied the knot five years ago in a love marriage. The tragedy came to light when the husband’s brother entered the room. The door was locked from inside, and the knocking went unanswered, prompting him to break it open. Both were found hanging. The police were immediately informed, and a forensic team was called to investigate. A suicide note was recovered from the scene, which read: Hand our bodies to our parents. Earlier on Friday, the husband had posted an Instagram story saying: Last goodnight to all brothers. The bodies have been sent to the Civil Hospital, Rewari, for post-mortem. Victims’ identity and background The deceased have been identified as Rajkumar (26) and his wife Hali (22). Rajkumar’s brother, Mahendra, said the couple married in 2020 and had moved to Rewari, Haryana, in search of employment. Both were working in private companies. “Last goodnight to all brothers.” The station house officer (SHO) of Dharuheda, Kashmir, stated that the suicide note also said: Hand our bodies to our parents if they come; if not, perform cremation here. Give our belongings to our brother. Police are investigating the exact reasons behind the couple’s suicide. Family situation According to sources from Sagar, Rajkumar’s father Ganesh Ahirwar lives in Barpani, and Hali was from Umra village. The couple had moved to Rewari and stayed there for work. Rajkumar’s brother Bhupendra Ahirwar also works outside the village. Their parents had gone out for labor work after celebrating Diwali, leaving only their elderly grandfather at home.
