jitu-patwari-hits-back-at-cm-mohan-over-remark:says-panchayat-secretaries-will-respond-through-votes;-demands-chief-minister-apologise-for-uncivil-language

State Congress President Jitu Patwari has responded sharply to Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav’s comments about Panchayat Secretaries and Assistants. While speaking at a programme in Ratlam, Patwari said that the Panchayat Secretaries and Assistants are staying quiet for now, but they will make their presence felt when elections come. “There are 50 to 70 thousand people in around 25 thousand Gram Panchayats. Let the elections come, and we will shake their foundations,” he said. Patwari also advised the Chief Minister to use respectful language, saying, “The Chief Minister is the pride of the state, and he should speak in a civil manner.” He made these remarks while attending the birth anniversary celebration of former minister Prabhudayal Gehlot and a rural Congress Diwali Milan event in Bhagga Sehlot village under the Sailana assembly constituency. During his interaction with the media, Patwari criticised both the government and the Chief Minister. Patwari said – CM should apologize publicly
He said that the post of the Chief Minister of the state is very big, therefore, his language should also be equally restrained and dignified. He said that the kind of abusive language the CM used for Panchayat Secretaries is not in accordance with the dignity of the post. The Chief Minister should apologize publicly for this. What the CM had said – If the secretary doesn’t work, we will remove the fellow.
A few days ago, during the Sarpanch-Panch conference in Bhopal, Sarpanches had complained that Panchayat secretaries do not work. On this, CM Dr. Mohan Yadav had said in a strict tone that “If the secretary doesn’t work, we will remove the fellow… What is their standing? If there’s a problem, we will fix it.” Patwari also said
‘Tribals are the owners of this land’
Patwari said that it is a good thing that the Chief Minister is celebrating Tribal Pride Day, but the respect of tribals will increase only when the money due to them is spent on them.
He said that Rs 1.20 lakh crore from the tribal fund should not be spent on other heads or political events. He said that only when tribal youth get jobs, crimes against women stop, and possession of land is returned, will their pride increase. Tribals are wandering from door to door’
The Patwari alleged that some leaders associated with BJP are buying tribals’ lands by intimidating and threatening them. He said that due to not receiving compensation, tribals are migrating to Gujarat-Maharashtra for labor. “Pride Day will not be enhanced by pandals, but by improving their lives,” he said.
