A 30-year-old man died after being caught in a rotavator machine while ploughing a field in Sironj’s Devi Tori village of Vidisha district on Monday. The impact was so severe that his body was torn into multiple pieces. Police had to dismantle the machine to retrieve his remains. The victim was ploughing a field when the accident occurred According to Sironj Police Station in-charge (TI) Vimlesh Roy, the deceased has been identified as Bablu Yadav (30), who worked as a tractor driver. On Monday, he was ploughing the field of local farmer Santosh Prajapati using a rotavator attached to a tractor. As per eyewitnesses, a piece of cloth got entangled in the machine while it was operating. Bablu tried to remove it, but his clothes got caught in the rotating shaft, pulling him inside. Instant death as body got trapped in the rotating shaft Since the machine was still running, Bablu was dragged into the rotating blades of the rotavator and died instantly. His body was mutilated beyond recognition. Police confirmed that the tractor belonged to Sarpanch Rajesh Sahu, and Bablu had rented it for ploughing work. Machine dismantled to recover the body The horrifying incident led to panic among villagers. Locals rushed to the spot but were unable to help as Bablu’s body was tightly stuck in the machine. Eventually, the police and villagers had to dismantle the rotavator to recover his remains. The entire village is mourning Bablu’s death. Villagers described him as a hardworking and friendly person who supported his family through farm labor and tractor work. Leaves behind wife and two young children According to family members, Bablu was the third among four brothers and one sister. He had been married for 6–7 years and was the father of two children — a four-year-old and a two-year-old.
Bablu came from a poor farming family. Apart from working as a hired tractor driver, he also did small-scale farming and sold milk to make ends meet. Police register case, investigation underway TI Vimlesh Roy said that an accidental death case has been registered. The tractor and rotavator used in the accident have been seized for investigation. Police are probing the circumstances leading to the incident.
