A 53-year-old man named Mahavir Shukla was shot dead in broad daylight on Thursday in Morena district’s Porsa area. The incident took place near Sainthra Ahir village around 1 PM. According to eyewitnesses, unknown assailants chased Shukla on a bike and a four-wheeler. They first hit his motorcycle, then got out of the car and fired at him. A bullet struck Shukla in the head, and he collapsed on the road. People nearby rushed to the spot, but he died within minutes as blood kept flowing from his head. Police later arrived, took the body into custody, and sent it for post-mortem. Officers have started an investigation to identify the attackers and find out the reason behind the murder. Empty cartridges found at the scene Mahavir Shukla had gone to jail on Thursday morning to meet his son. He left for home after meeting him. As soon as he reached near Senthra village, a car hit him from behind. 12 bore empty cartridges were also recovered from the spot. Son committed murder 6 months ago This incident is being linked to the double murder committed by the deceased Mahavir Shukla’s son six months ago. It is suspected that this murder could be revenge for an old enmity. In fact, on May 26, Bunty Bhadoria and Saurabh Bhadoria were shot dead in Mirghan village, Sihonia police station area. Police had made Veerpal Shukla, son of Mahavir Shukla, resident of village Santho, and Govinda Khatik, resident of Porsa, accused with the help of CCTV footage. Veerpal and Govinda are currently lodged in Ambah jail. Police are currently scanning CCTV footage and mobile locations. Local people are also being questioned regarding the escape routes of the attackers and their identification.
