A young man’s foot slipped from a rock at Khairaki Waterfall in Mandla. He was swept away by the strong current of water and got trapped in a whirlpool. He tried to get out by holding onto the rocks, but he kept getting stuck deeper. Two people nearby reached the young man and pulled him out of the water by giving him a gamcha (towel/scarf). A video of this has also surfaced. The incident took place near Khairaki Waterfall, Sijhora. Due to the Guru Nanak Dev Jayanti holiday, a large number of people had arrived at Khairaki Waterfall for a picnic. During this, the young man slipped. A tourist made a video of the young man drowning and being rescued, which is now going viral on social media. After the video surfaced, people are demanding robust security arrangements at Khairaki Waterfall. Currently, the young man’s identity has not been ascertained.
