Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav announced that the next Vidisha election will be held as a Municipal Corporation, following a request from Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan. He also promised construction of several roads and a modern stadium. Notably, the announcement was made during the inauguration of MP Sports Festival in Vidisha on Thursday, which was inaugurated by former cricketer Kapil Dev. Shivraj Singh placed demands for Vidisha’s development Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh raised the issue of giving municipal corporation status to Vidisha in his address. He also demanded speedy completion of road development works in the city and district. Along with this, he also demanded to modernize the stadium. While addressing the program, Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan started his address with cricket. He said that when he was studying in college in 1983, he watched Kapil Dev’s historic innings of 175 runs against Zimbabwe, which changed the course of Indian cricket. Winners will get prizes worth lakhs At the assembly level, winners will receive prizes of Rs 1.5 lakh, Rs 1 lakh and Rs 50,000 respectively. In parliamentary level competitions, attractive prizes of Rs 2.5 lakh, Rs 2 lakh and Rs 1.5 lakh have been kept.
