Karnataka batter Karun Nair has lashed out at Team India Chief Selector Ajit Agarkar and Head Coach Gautam Gambhir after being dropped from the Test team. Nair had made a comeback to the Indian Test team after eight years in the series against England, but his performance was not as expected. Due to this, he did not get a place in the two-match Test series against West Indies. After playing an unbeaten innings of 174 runs while playing for Karnataka in the second round match of Ranji Trophy 2025-26, Nair said, “I am disappointed at not getting a place in the Indian team and I deserved better than this.” I should have gotten more opportunities: Karun After his 25th first-class century, he said, “Looking at my performance in the last two years, I feel I should have gotten more and better opportunities. The 33-year-old Nair scored only 205 runs in eight innings of the series, which included only one half-century. The series ended in a 2-2 draw.
