Fear and panic gripped the Ashoka Garden area of Bhopal on Tuesday noon, when the locals residing at the 80 feet road in the locality discovered a body draped inside a sack, and abandoned in a drain. The police were alerted, who rushed to the scene and took stock of the body. The cops have sent the body for post-mortem and are probing the case, they said. Identity of deceased still a mystery Ashoka Garden police station in-charge Anurag Lal told Bhaskar English that the man who was found dead has not been identified yet. He added that the people residing at the 80 feet road in the area notified the police on Tuesday noon about a lifeless body draped in a sack and lying in the drain. The police rushed to the spot and assumed custody of the body. They unwrapped the sack, to find a dead man inside it. As per station in-charge Lal, the man’s death seems to have been occurred three days ago. Injury marks found on body, murder suspected The station in-charge further said that as of now, the case appears to be that of a murder, as injury marks were found on his throat and other parts of the body. He went on to say that the body has been sent to the Hamdia hospital mortuary for post-mortem, while the police are engaged in ascertaining the identity of the dead man, as well as in unearthing the reason behind his death.
