Dalit driver allegedly assaulted, forced to drink urine in Bhind:Victim abducted from Gwalior; police arrest 2 accused while one remains at large

A shocking incident has come to light in Bhind district, Madhya Pradesh, where a Dalit driver was allegedly abducted, assaulted, and forced to drink urine by three men. The victim says he was taken from Gwalior to Surpura village, where he was beaten and humiliated. Two of the accused have been arrested, while one is still absconding. The police have registered a case under sections of assault, illegal confinement, and the SC-ST Act. Abducted from Gwalior, taken to Bhind According to the victim, three men abducted him from Gwalior on Monday night and took him to Surpura village in Bhind. The accused were identified as Sonu Barua (38) of Datavali village, Alok Pathak (40) of Datavali, and Chhotu Ojha (27) of Bhind. The victim said that after reaching Surpura, they forced him to drink alcohol and then made him drink urine. Later, they left him on the spot and fled. Victim hospitalised after assault After the incident, the victim managed to call his family members, who took him to Bhind District Hospital on Tuesday morning. He was admitted there for treatment. As soon as the incident was reported, Additional SP Sanjeev Pathak and Collector Karodi Lal Meena visited the hospital to meet the victim and assess his condition. Dispute over stopped driving The victim told the police that he works as a driver. Earlier, he used to drive a Bolero belonging to Sonu Barua from Datavali village. However, he had stopped driving for Sonu and was staying at his in-laws’ house in Deendayal Nagar, Gwalior. On Monday night, Sonu, along with Alok and Chhotu, arrived at his place, forced him into a car, and took him to Bhind, where they committed the assault. Case registered under SC-ST Act Additional SP Sanjeev Pathak confirmed that a case has been registered under sections of assault, illegal confinement, and the SC-ST (Prevention of Atrocities) Act. He said that two of the accused — Sonu and Alok — are in police custody, while Chhotu is on the run. He added that the allegation of forced urination is being investigated and that further action will depend on the medical report. Administration ensures medical support Collector Karodi Lal Meena said he has spoken to the victim’s father and directed hospital authorities to conduct all medical tests promptly. He confirmed that the police are investigating the entire matter and assured that strict action will be taken based on the findings.
