The second match of the ODI series between West Indies and Bangladesh will go down in history. It was the first time among full-ICC member nations that a team bowled 50 overs of spin in an ODI fixture. The match played at the Sher-e-Bangla Cricket Stadium in Mirpur saw an unprecedented feat achieved by the West Indies. Akeal Hosein, Roston Chase, Khary Pierre, Gudakesh Motie and Alick Atanaze all bowled 10 overs each. West Indies played Justin Greaves as the only fast bowler in the team, but he was not needed on a pitch that would spark a debate among fans.

In the last ten overs of the first inning, Bangladesh scored a whopping 82 runs, losing just 1 wicket. Among the bowlers, Hosein and Athanaze picked up two wickets each. However, Motie was the pick of the lot, contributing 3 scalps, but he was expensive as well, conceding 65 runs.
