The All India Institute for Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Bhopal continues to earn national recognition for its excellence in healthcare delivery, community welfare initiatives, and innovation in medical education. The Union Minister for Agriculture, Farmers Welfare and Rural Development Shivraj Singh Chouhan paid a visit to the institute on Tuesday, where he interacted with officials and reviewed its ongoing programmes, the institute authorities said. Minister accorded warm welcome on the occasion Upon his arrival, the Union Minister was received by Dr Madhabananda Kar, Executive Director and CEO of AIIMS Bhopal, along with Sandesh Kumar Jain, Deputy Director (AIIMS administration). A detailed interactive meeting followed, during which the Minister was briefed on the institute’s milestones, healthcare services, and research advancements. Officials apprised him of various initiatives undertaken by AIIMS Bhopal to strengthen public health systems and enhance medical outreach in rural and underserved areas. The Minister also reviewed updates on academic programmes, technological integration, and patient-care models introduced in recent years. Chouhan appreciates institute’s cleanliness and management During his visit, Minister Chouhan expressed appreciation for the institute’s clean environment, efficient management, and patient-friendly infrastructure. He lauded the teamwork and dedication of doctors, staff, and administrators for maintaining high standards of service and hygiene. “The commitment of AIIMS Bhopal to quality care and social responsibility is exemplary,” Minister Chouhan remarked. “It is not only providing world-class medical services in central India but also leading by example in extending healthcare to rural and marginalised communities,” he added.
