A tractor-trolley overturned near Chandrawatiganj in Sanwer, Indore, resulting in three deaths and injuring more than 25 people, on Monday evening. The incident took place when the vehicle lost balance while negotiating a turn. Several passengers were reportedly on board at the time. Two of the injured are said to be in critical condition, while the others sustained minor to moderate injuries. Emergency response The injured were immediately admitted to Sanwer Civil Hospital. Ambulances were dispatched to the site to provide emergency medical care. Upon receiving the news, Collector Shivam Verma instructed M.Y. Hospital and Sri Aurobindo Hospital in Indore to remain on high alert. Chief Medical Health Officer (CMHO) Dr. Madhav Hasani confirmed that medical teams are on full alert and ready to handle emergencies. Accident details According to ASP Rupesh Dwivedi, the tractor-trolley overturned while negotiating a turn. Among the injured, two individuals are in critical condition. Casualties The victims who died on the spot include Jani Bai (40) and Kamla Bai (50). A minor passenger succumbed to injuries while being transported to the hospital. Workers returning from fields Police from Chandrawatiganj police station reported that the tractor-trolley was carrying laborers returning home from working in the fields. The accident occurred between Ratan Khedi and Bibi Khedi villages, injuring approximately 25–27 workers. Authorities are investigating the incident to determine the exact cause of the mishap. Residents have been urged to exercise caution while traveling on rural roads.
