In Bhind, Madhya Pradesh, a young man observed the Karwa Chauth fast for his friend. He dressed like a woman, wearing a lehenga, and carried a puja thali with a sieve and karwa. A video of the event has also gone viral. On Friday afternoon, he appeared in bridal attire in Sadar Bazaar. People in the market stopped and stared, and when he sat on a motorcycle, passersby could hardly believe what they were seeing. People thought a bride was going, but when they went closer, they found out the truth. The young man wearing the lehenga is named Vinod Sharma, who is observing the Karwa Chauth fast for the long life of his closest friend, Harish Sharma. Said – Wishing for a long life for his friend Vinod said, “I have fasted for my friend’s long life. I will perform worship by fulfilling the duty of a wife. After offering water from the Karwa, I will break the fast.” Some people have called this incident nonsense. They have also condemned it. This fast is a symbol of my true feelings and dedication towards my friend. Doing the 16 adornments, wearing a lehenga, and looking at his face through a sieve is an emotional moment for me.
