A 10th-grade girl in Mandla was found unconscious in her classroom on Thursday morning, about 20 hours after she went missing. Her braid had been cut, and she had a head injury. The girl told authorities that she was hit on the head with a bottle while leaving the classroom. Student missing since Wednesday evening The incident took place in Bamhani Banjar village. The girl, a student at Government Girls Middle School, Bamhani Banjar, arrived at school around 9:30 AM on Wednesday. She stayed at school all day but did not reach home after classes ended. Her family searched for her throughout the night and informed police around 8 PM, but no action was taken immediately. Attack details After regaining consciousness in hospital, the student said:”Yesterday, after school was over, I was leaving the class when someone from behind hit me hard on the head with a bottle. It hurt, and everything went dark. When I regained consciousness in the morning, I got scared seeing my braid cut.” Her hair was found lying on the school premises. Discovered by students next morning On Thursday morning, students arriving in the classroom found her unconscious and informed the teacher. The teacher immediately contacted the family, who rushed her to hospital. Condition stable, education officials respond Doctors said the student’s condition is out of danger but she cannot fully speak yet. Education Department officials reached the hospital and then visited the school. Father details efforts to find daughter Her father said they searched everywhere after she did not return home. At 1 AM, they filed a complaint at the police station and continued searching until finding her in the classroom. The father said:”When I saw her unconscious in the classroom, I was scared. There were injuries on the back of her head and one braid was cut.” Principal denies negligence In-charge principal Sushil Hardaha said the school closes at 4:30 PM daily, and staff leave by 5:30 PM. He denied any negligence on the part of the school.
