In Itarsi, Narmadapuram, a man stabbed a dog to death on Tuesday night, claiming the barking gave him a headache. When the dog’s owner tried to intervene, the accused attacked him, and he was admitted to the district hospital with injuries. Itarsi Station In-charge Gaurav Singh Bundela said Tilak Lamkuche (35), a resident of New Yard Azad Nagar, was walking his pet when it barked and lunged at Sonu alias Mukesh Vajpayee (35) of Indira Nagar. Sonu then attacked the dog with a knife, striking it four times. Sonu Vajpayee was previously convicted for murdering a teacher’s husband 15 years ago and was released five years back. Seeing this, dog owner Tilak Lamkuche got enraged. An argument broke out between the two. Sonu attacked Tilak as well. The knife hit his neck. The accused Sonu was also injured in the fight. A post-mortem of the dog’s body has been conducted. Both injured persons were taken to the Community Health Center. From there, both were referred to the District Hospital.
