Bhopal resident and student of the Institute for Excellence in Higher Education (IEHE), Cadet Shaili Tiwari, has brought glory to Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh by representing India in two prestigious events the Republic Day Camp (RDC) 2025 and the Youth Exchange Programme (YEP) Kazakhstan. Shaili, a B.Sc. (Forensic Science) second-year student and cadet of 2 MP AIR SQN NCC, says joining the NCC was more than just an extracurricular activity, it was a turning point in her life, instilling discipline, self-confidence, and a deep sense of service to the nation. Journey to RDC 2025: The ultimate test for cadets Securing a place in the Republic Day Camp is considered the highest achievement for an NCC cadet, involving a multi-stage, rigorous selection process. Reflecting on her journey, Shaili said: “This journey was not easy. There were days of exhaustion and moments of uncertainty, but I never gave up. With discipline and consistent practice, I cleared every stage and grew stronger with each step.” Golden Opportunities at Republic Day Camp At RDC 2025, held in January, Shaili earned rare honors that every cadet dreams of achieving. YEP Sponsor Cadet: Experience of International Diplomacy During RDC, Sheila was selected for the Youth Exchange Programme (YEP) Sponsor Cadets. This sponsorship was given to only 18 best cadets from 17 directorates across the country, and Sheila was the only Air Wing cadet from Madhya Pradesh-Chhattisgarh Directorate. As YEP Sponsor Cadets, they got special opportunities: India’s Glory in Kazakhstan Shaili Tiwari says, “NCC gave me confidence and leadership. This journey taught me important lessons like discipline, time management and teamwork. Now my dream is to bring glory to India’s name on even higher platforms.”
