On Friday (September 26), three friends under 18 drowned in the Kopra river in Sagar. Their bodies were recovered from Gunjora village, in the Garhakota police station area while police and administration teams reached the spot after being informed of the incident. With the help of the SDRF, all three bodies were retrieved from the river. The village is in mourning after the deaths of the three youths. All three residents of same locality Notably, all three friends were residents of village Gunjora, had gone to the Kopra river flowing from Bandipura village in Garhakota area on Friday (September 26). The three friends lived in the same locality of the village. After reaching the Kopra river, they entered the water for bathing. Due to entering deep water, they drowned one after another. Police investigation with help from divers Upon receiving information about the incident, Garhakota police reached the spot and began searching with the help of local divers, but were unable to locate anything. The SDRF team was then called in and recovered all three bodies after a search. Police conducted post-mortems and prepared the panchnama of the bodies, which have now been handed over to the families. Garhakota police have registered a case and launched an investigation.
