Gold and silver prices soared to fresh record levels on Tuesday, continuing their sharp upward rally. According to the India Bullion and Jewellers Association (IBJA), 10 grams of 24-carat gold rose by ₹1,343 to touch ₹1,13,498. On Monday, gold had already scaled a historic high of ₹1,12,155 per 10 grams. Silver too followed suit, gaining ₹1,181 to reach ₹1,34,050 per kilogram, up from its previous record of ₹1,32,869. According to market data, the price of 10 grams of 24-carat gold has jumped by ₹37,336 since December 31, 2024, climbing from ₹76,162 to ₹1,13,498. Silver too has surged, gaining ₹48,033 per kilogram during the same period — from ₹86,017 to ₹1,34,050. Why Are Gold Prices Rising? On Monday, the rupee had already shed 12 paise against the greenback, extending its recent losing streak.
