Deng Mayar, a basketball player at University of Nebraska-Omaha, passed away in a drowning incident in Utah. The incident occurred at Blackridge Reservoir. Mayar was swimming with a friend, Sa Mafutaga, who survived. Emergency crews recovered Mayar’s body after an extensive search. University leaders, coaches, and teammates expressed their grief.
