Justice Yashwant Varma has petitioned the Supreme Court, challenging an in-house inquiry report accusing him of complicity after cash was found at his residence. The report led to a recommendation for his removal, approved by then CJI Sanjiv Khanna and sent to the President and PM. A bench led by Justice Dipankar Datta will hear the case, as CJI Gavai recused himself due to prior involvement.
