Cash-at-home row: Justice Varma removal notices handed; LS may initiate

Parliament receives notices to remove Allahabad HC’s Justice Yashwant Varma. Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha members submit the notices citing alleged misconduct. A committee will investigate the charges. Lok Sabha Speaker and Rajya Sabha Chairman will form the committee. This marks the second time in 32 years that a judge’s removal motion is brought before the House.
