‘We are proud of it’: Two Himachal brothers marry same woman

In Himachal Pradesh’s Sirmaur district, two brothers from the Hatti tribe married the same woman, Sunita Chauhan, reviving the traditional practice of polyandry known as “Jodidara.” The three-day celebration in Shillai village drew hundreds of attendees, highlighting the tribe’s unique cultural heritage. This custom, though rare, continues to be socially accepted in the region.
