‘Access denied’: Univ can’t see its digital infra as five staffers ‘protect’ passwords

Mumbai University is struggling to regain control of its digital infrastructure as five DICT employees, embroiled in a labor dispute, retain access to critical systems. Despite repeated requests, the employees, who claim administrator rights, haven’t handed over passwords, hindering cybersecurity efforts. The industrial court previously ruled in favor of the employees, preventing termination and changes to their service conditions.
