A 14-year-old boy died after allegedly being beaten with sticks by three men who suspected him of having information about a buffalo theft in Madhya Pradesh’s Singrauli district. His family, fearing the accused’s influence, initially neither took him to hospital nor informed the police. He later died while undergoing treatment. The assault took place on 7 July after a buffalo owned by Asman Singh of Karkosa village was stolen a day earlier. Asman Singh and his family allegedly suspected that the teenager, Vinod Singh from Saraidar village, knew about the theft. They allegedly detained him and brutally assaulted him. Following the post-mortem report, police on Friday registered a case against the three accused, who remain absconding. Police said three other men had already been arrested in connection with the buffalo theft. Family members reached police outpost after death Vinod sustained serious injuries to his head and right temple due to the assault. The frightened family members did not tell anyone anything. On the night of 8 July, Vinod’s condition deteriorated significantly. Family members took him to the hospital. Here, Vinod died on 9 July during treatment. After this, his family members reached the Sasan police outpost and filed a report. Vinod’s family members said- Aasman Singh was alleging that thieves had given Vinod 400 rupees. They had said to untie the buffalo from the peg and drive it a short distance. It was over this matter that Aasman Singh and his nephews beat Vinod. Police teams are raiding for arrests Sasan Police Post In-charge Sandeep Namdev said, It has become clear from the post-mortem report that Vinod died due to severe internal head injury and blood clot formation. Based on the complaint of the family, a case of murder has been registered against Asman Singh and his two nephews.Different police teams are continuously raiding to arrest them.
