Madhya Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) President Jitu Patwari reached Sehore on a bicycle at around 9:50 am on Sunday as part of his public outreach campaign aimed at connecting directly with people and raising their concerns. He was welcomed by District Congress President Rajeev Gujarati, City Congress President Ghanshyam Yadav, and a large number of party workers upon his arrival. Offers prayers at Chintaman Ganesh temple After reaching Sehore, Patwari visited the historic Chintaman Ganesh Temple, where he offered prayers according to traditional rituals and prayed for the prosperity of Madhya Pradesh and the well-being of its people. Targets BJP government over alleged corruption Speaking to the media after visiting the temple, Patwari launched a sharp attack on the BJP-led state government, alleging that Madhya Pradesh is witnessing “extraordinary and unimaginable corruption.” He claimed the government was functioning like “Ali Baba Aur Chalish Chor” and accused it of failing to address serious corruption allegations. Calls Ayodhya donation theft an ‘open act of corruption’ Referring to the alleged Ayodhya land scams and the alleged irregularities in the Mahakal Lok project, Patwari said Chief Minister Mohan Yadav has remained silent on these issues. He also described the alleged theft of donations at the Ayodhya Ram Mandir as an “open act of corruption.” Congress to launch new statewide campaign on July 14–15 Patwari announced that the Congress will launch a major statewide campaign on July 14 and 15, inspired by the vision of Rahul Gandhi and centered around “new thinking and revolutionary ideas.” He said the primary objective of the campaign would be to ensure safe education and guaranteed educational opportunities for every child in Madhya Pradesh. Claims strong anti-BJP sentiment in Datia Sharing his experience from a recent visit to Datia, Patwari claimed there is widespread public anger against the BJP government. He asserted that people are ready for change and expressed confidence that the Congress would register a “historic victory” from Datia in the upcoming elections.
