In Shivpuri, a Tehsildar who arrived to stop illegal soil mining was threatened with being shot by the mafia. He said, ‘I will kill you and go to jail.’ He called his son to bring a gun. The incident took place on Thursday afternoon in Sadbud village of Badarwas tehsil. Its video surfaced on Friday. Police have registered an FIR against Jaymandal Yadav, who issued the threat, his father Lakhan Yadav, and his son Vikul Yadav, and have started an investigation. Soil being extracted from government land The Revenue Department team received information about illegal soil mining on government land near the Sindh river in Sadbud. Upon this, Tehsildar Sachin Bhargav reached the spot with his team. The team found that a path was being made to the ghat for sand mining. Soil was being extracted with a hydra and illegally transported by two tractor-trolleys. Hydra and tractor-trolley were driven away When the team proceeded to seize the vehicles, the accused started protesting. During this, Jaymandal Yadav threatened the Tehsildar, saying – Stop. Otherwise, I will shoot you and go to jail. Then he told his son Vikul Yadav, Bring the gun from home, today I will shoot all of them. Amidst this commotion, the Hydra and a tractor-trolley were driven away from the spot along with the accused. The other tractor-trolley, filled with soil, has been seized by the revenue team and parked at Badarwas police station. 15-15 feet deep pits had been made Tehsildar Sachin Bhargava said- The accused had dug pits about 15-15 feet deep on government land. During interrogation, they claimed the land was private, but illegal mining was also carried out on the adjoining government land. Action was taken on this basis. Kotwar Sunil Kumar wrote in the complaint, Along with Tehsildar Sachin Bhargava, Patwari Brijendra, Prabhakar Maraiya, Jitendra Dangi, Kotwar Balveer Kewat, Pawan Valmiki, and I reached the spot.
