In Khilchipur of Rajgarh district, the accused in a rape case involving a 6-year-old girl has already been arrested by police and sent to jail. The matter is currently under judicial process. Meanwhile, a WhatsApp message by city religious preacher Pandit Harinarayan Vaishnav has triggered fresh controversy. He wrote in a group that if any police personnel carries out an “encounter” of the accused, he would give a cash reward of ₹1 lakh to the concerned officer. After the accused’s arrest, screenshots of the post spread widely on social media and various WhatsApp groups. When Dainik Bhaskar spoke to Pandit Harinarayan Vaishnav, he clearly stated that he himself had posted the message. He said that if police personnel carry out an “encounter” of the man who raped a six-year-old girl, he would give a cash reward of ₹1 lakh to the concerned officer. ‘My soul is repeatedly pained by this incident’ Pandit Harinarayan Vaishnav said that the incident that took place in his “holy city” has deeply disturbed him and continues to trouble him emotionally. ‘If you can’t give hanging, then give police a free hand’ He said he would repeatedly request the court to award death penalty to such a person. If that is not possible, then police should be given a free hand. He further said that if such criminals are eliminated through encounters, the government should reward and promote the concerned police officers, as this would provide immediate justice without years of court proceedings. He was locked up, is that justice? Responding to the fact that the accused has already been arrested and sent to jail, Vaishnav questioned whether arrest alone can be considered justice. He said that simply locking up the accused cannot be called justice, as the victim’s life has already been destroyed. According to him, real justice can only come through strict punishment, including the death penalty, and stronger laws to prevent such crimes. The accused, Dinesh Sen, has already been arrested by police in the case registered under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and the POCSO Act. Toy shopkeeper raped the girl According to the complaint lodged at Khilchipur police station in Rajgarh, the incident took place around 4:00 PM on June 16. The victim had gone to Dinesh Sen’s (25) toy shop along with one of her friends. After purchasing toys, both girls returned home, but after some time, the victim went back alone to return a toy. It is alleged that during this visit, shop owner Dinesh Sen committed a wrongful act against the minor girl. At night, the child complained of pain in her private parts. When her family members questioned her as she was crying, she revealed the incident involving the shopkeeper. Angered by the incident, the family reached Khilchipur police station at around 11:00 AM on June 17, 2026, along with the victim. Taking the seriousness of the matter into account, police registered a case against accused Dinesh Sen under Sections 65(2), 351(3), 127(2) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and Sections 5(m) and 6 of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, 2012, on the basis of the complaint filed by the victim’s mother. The accused has since been arrested.
