According to DCP Aman Singh Rathore, the theft was reported on June 17 from a car showroom in the Lasudia police station area. The operations manager of Patel Motors lodged a complaint stating that an iPhone, a gold umbrella, a diamond-studded crown and 12 silver coins had gone missing from a cabin inside the showroom. Acting on the complaint, police registered a case and launched an investigation. During the probe, police analyzed CCTV footage and questioned showroom staff, leading them to the housekeeping employee. He was subsequently taken into custody, and the stolen items were recovered. Further investigation is underway. Team formed, CCTV footage and technical evidence collected DCP Aman Singh Rathore said that after the case came to light, a police team was formed to search for the accused. The team thoroughly examined CCTV footage from the crime scene, technical evidence, and other facts. However, the complainant had already expressed suspicion about one of his employees. Based on the evidence gathered during the investigation and interrogation of employees, police reached the suspect Lucky (19), resident of Kali Tanki, Badi Gwaltoli. When the team interrogated him, he confessed to committing the crime. The accused revealed that while working at the showroom, he took advantage of the opportunity and stole an iPhone. Additionally, he also stole a gold canopy and a diamond-studded crown of Mata Mandir from the locker kept in the showroom owner’s cabin. Officers were continuously monitoring DCP Aman Singh Rathore said that after committing the theft, the accused concealed the diamond-studded crown and canopy of the deity at his maternal uncle’s house in Kodariya, Mhow. Investigators said the accused had been employed at the showroom for nearly a year and was familiar with its daily operations. He knew where the keys were kept and was aware that no employees would be present during the early morning hours, which he allegedly exploited to carry out the theft. Despite this, police solved the case within 48 hours and arrested him. According to the DCP, the investigation was closely monitored by senior officers from the outset. No previous criminal record of the accused has surfaced so far.
