President Droupadi Murmu will arrive in Jabalpur on Saturday for her two-day visit. She will arrive at Dumna Airport from Kalaikunda Airport in West Bengal at 6:10 PM by a special Indian Air Force aircraft. Governor Mangubhai Patel will welcome her at Dumna Airport. During this time, Deputy Chief Minister Jagdish Devda, Higher Education Minister Inder Singh Parmar, along with senior police and administration officials, will be present. Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav will also arrive in Jabalpur around 8 PM on Saturday. Over 3000 personnel deployed in Jabalpur The administration has completed all preparations for the President’s arrival. Under security arrangements, over 3000 personnel have been deployed. Police forces have been deployed along the entire route from Dumna Airport to Circuit House, Garrison Ground, and Rani Durgavati University. The President will rest at Circuit House No. 1 on Saturday night. To participate in Yoga Day program in the morning On Sunday, June 21, the President will depart from Circuit House at 7:05 AM for Garrison Ground located in Sadar. She will arrive at the venue at 7:20 AM and participate as the chief guest in the state-level program of International Yoga Day, which will be held from 7:30 AM. During the program, mass yoga practice will be conducted, and a message about the importance of health and yoga will be conveyed. After the Yoga Day program, the President will return to Circuit House from Garrison Ground at 8:35 AM. To award degrees and gold medals at convocation ceremony After this, the President will depart from Circuit House at 11:30 AM and arrive at Rani Durgavati University at 11:40 AM. Here, she will participate as the chief guest in the university’s 36th convocation ceremony, which will be held from 11:50 AM to 12:50 PM. During the ceremony, degrees and gold medals will be awarded to students from different faculties. However, there has been an ongoing controversy regarding the convocation ceremony, as many researchers and gold medalists have protested not being honored on stage. Will depart for Gwalior in afternoon After the conclusion of the convocation ceremony, the President will depart from the university for Dumna Airport at 12:50 PM. She will arrive at the airport at 1:10 PM and depart for Gwalior at 1:20 PM by a special Indian Air Force aircraft. Dual challenge for the administration On Sunday, Jabalpur administration will face a dual challenge. On one hand, they have to manage the security arrangements for the President’s and Chief Minister’s programs, and on the other hand, they also have to conduct the re-NEET examination. 23 examination centers have been set up in the district for the NEET examination, where more than 10,000 students will appear for the exam. As per the instructions of the state government, the responsibility for examination-related arrangements has been entrusted to the Collector. Special arrangements for students’ buses and guardians Jabalpur Collector Raghvendra Singh informed that for the first time, buses have been arranged by the government to transport students to the examination centers. On Sunday, buses will operate from Pentinaka Chowk to various examination centers until 12 noon. Temporary sheds are being built for the guardians of the examinees to sit. Coolers, fans, drinking water, and snacks will also be arranged here so that they do not face any kind of inconvenience. Adequate arrangements for electricity and fans have been ensured at the examination centers. 15 km area declared no fly zone Considering the President’s visit to Jabalpur, for security reasons, a 15-kilometer radius around Dumna Airport, Circuit House No.-1, MES Rest House, Garrison Ground, Rani Durgavati University, and the entire VVIP route has been declared a No Fly Zone. Collector Raghavendra Singh has issued this order based on the report of Superintendent of Police Sampat Upadhyay. The operation of drones, UAVs, paragliders, hot air balloons, kites, and other flying objects will be completely prohibited in the restricted area. The administration has clarified that legal action will be taken against those who violate the order under Section 223 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). Considering the President’s visit, Yoga Day, convocation ceremony, and re-NEET examination, Jabalpur will be on high alert mode on Sunday.
