Administrative preparations for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET), scheduled to be held on June 21, have entered the final phase in Gwalior. To ensure a fair, transparent, and malpractice-free examination, Collector Ruchika Chauhan and Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Dharmveer Singh jointly inspected several examination centres on Thursday. Joint Collector and District Nodal Officer Vinod Singh also participated in the inspection. Enhanced security measures for question papers Officials said special security arrangements have been made for the transportation of question papers. The sealed question paper boxes will be moved from bank lockers to examination centres exclusively in government vehicles. Each vehicle will be accompanied by personnel from the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), local police, the centre superintendent, and the designated nodal officer. The entire transportation process will be video recorded as an additional security measure. Exam timings and Entry rules The NEET examination will be conducted from 2:00 PM to 5:15 PM. Candidates will be permitted to enter their examination centres only between 11:00 AM and 1:30 PM. Authorities have clarified that no candidate will be allowed entry after 1:30 PM under any circumstances. Permitted and Prohibited items Candidates may carry: The administration has prohibited mobile phones, Bluetooth devices, smartwatches, calculators, bags, books, loose papers, and all electronic or metallic objects inside the examination centres. Biometric verification and separate frisking booths Collector Ruchika Chauhan directed officials to ensure adequate staffing at all 25 examination centres. Separate frisking booths have been established for male and female candidates, and biometric attendance will be recorded after security checks. Strict action against malpractice SSP Dharmveer Singh warned that any attempt to compromise the integrity of the examination would invite strict legal action. He also said sufficient police deployment and traffic management arrangements have been made around the examination centres to ensure smooth conduct of the test.
