A tense situation unfolded in Bhopal’s MP Nagar area on Thursday when a man suddenly climbed an electricity pole near the Government Press building. Eyewitnesses said he was later seen sitting atop the pole and even walking along high-tension power lines, alarming people in the vicinity. The incident drew a large crowd, and videos of the episode have since surfaced. After receiving information about the incident, personnel from the MP Nagar police station reached the scene and secured the area, ensuring onlookers stayed at a safe distance. Authorities immediately began efforts to bring the man down safely. Rescued using a crane The man was eventually rescued from the high-tension line with the help of a crane. The operation was completed without any immediate reports of injury. The motive behind the man climbing the electricity pole has not yet been established. Police are questioning him to determine the circumstances that led to the incident and whether any personal or other factors were involved.
