Three people died in a road accident on National Highway-47 in Betul on Tuesday. Near Danora-Kumli (Tahli Jod) in Chicholi police station area, a speeding Tavera vehicle hit a bike with great force. In the accident, one young man riding the bike died on the spot, while two seriously injured young women succumbed to their injuries during treatment at the district hospital. According to information, Anchal Sen (25), a resident of Kharidhana village in Bhimpur development block, worked a private job in Indore. She had returned from Indore early Tuesday morning and got off at Tahli Jod on the four-lane highway. To reach home, she had called her friend Khushi Pandagre (22). Khushi was a resident of Mahadgaon area and was a second-year college student. Her father was engaged in farming. It is said that Khushi reached Tahli Jod with her nephew Kapil Baraskar (18) on a bike to pick up Anchal. Kapil was a resident of Jeen village. All three were riding on the bike towards the village. During this, near Danora-Kumli Jod, a speeding Tavera vehicle hit their bike head-on with great force. Bike completely damaged The collision was so severe that the bike was completely damaged. In the accident, Kapil Baraskar died on the spot, while Anchal Sen and Khushi Pandagre were seriously injured. Passersby and local residents immediately informed the police and took the injured to the district hospital. Here, after preliminary examination, doctors declared both young women dead. On Tuesday, the post-mortem of the bodies of Anchal Sen and Khushi Pandagre was conducted at the district hospital. Meanwhile, Kapil Baraskar’s post-mortem was performed in Chicholi. After necessary procedures, all three bodies were handed over to their families. Final farewell at Tapti Ghat The last rites of Kapil Baraskar and Khushi Pandagre are being performed at Tapti Ghat, while the body of Anchal Sen has been taken to her native village Kharidhana, where her last rites will be performed. A large number of villagers and relatives participated in the funeral procession. Chicholi police have registered a case and started investigating the accident. Police have seized the Tavera vehicle responsible for the accident. They are searching for the driver. Initially, high speed and negligence are believed to be the cause of the accident. Police stated that further action will be taken after the investigation of the case.
