Meanwhile, the National Commission for Scheduled Tribes has taken cognisance of the matter and sought a report from the Chief Secretary (CS) of the state and the Chhindwara Collector within 30 days. Collector and District Magistrate Harendra Narayan recently assigned the responsibility of Junnardeo SDM to probationary Deputy Collector Rajnandini Singh. uring that time, Kamini Thakur was removed from her post and attached to the district headquarters. Now, within just 48 hours, new orders have been issued transferring her to Betul, which is directly being linked to this land dispute. Accused of buying land worth crores for just 6 lakhs
This entire matter is related to the buying and selling of invaluable tribal land connected to a viewpoint in the Tamia region. ‘Dainik Bhaskar’ had revealed in its report that this land, worth crores of rupees, was dealt for only 6 lakh rupees. According to the report, this land was purchased in the name of former SDM Kamini Thakur’s father, as well as the then BMO and the wife of the acting Tehsildar. The Commission has issued notices to the Chief Secretary of Madhya Pradesh, the Chhindwara Collector, and the concerned administrative officials. The Commission has issued a clear warning to the officials that if a satisfactory reply or report is not submitted within the stipulated deadline, strict action will be taken. In such a situation, summons will be issued to the officials under Article 338(A) of the Indian Constitution, after which they will have to appear personally before the Commission to present their case.
